We are pleased to announce an update to the online version of the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions (6.5-2024). In this update, changes include:

• Updates throughout Chapter 4, the Technical supplement to Chapter 4, Chapter 10 and Chapter 13 to reflect the most up-to-date research, tools and best practices. These updates have not resulted in any methods-related changes to the MECIR conduct standards.
• A new Technical supplement for Chapter 20 focuses on the integrated full systematic review of economic evidence as a methodological framework.

Please note that the Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews (MECIR) published in August 2023 have not changed with this update; see the individual Handbook chapter citations at the beginning of each chapter and the MECIR citation.
