In the spotlight: GRADEing Methods Group

Posted on 8 November 2021 by Ella Flemyng (Methods Implementation Manager)

We are celebrating the achievements of Cochrane’s Methods Groups from the last year. Today we are putting GRADEing Methods Group in the spotlight.

For the GRADEing (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) Methods Group it's all about interpretation, applicability and transferability of the results of systematic reviews to individuals and groups. The goal is to develop approaches, strategies and guidance that facilitate the uptake of information from Cochrane Reviews and their use by a wide audience with specific focus on developers of recommendations and on healthcare decision makers. Their projects focus on assessing and presenting summaries of evidence, especially on Summary of Findings (SoF) tables and Plain Language Summaries.
