The latest article in the Methods and Statistics Tutorials series in the open access journal Cochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods focuses on standardized mean differences (SMDs) in meta-analysis. The authors explain what they are, when they should be used, how to correctly compute and interpret them, and some of the most common errors made within evidence synthesis. The article is accompanied by a micro-learning module produced by Cochrane Training.
