GIN-McMaster Guideline Development Checklist Equity Extension

Invitation to participate in GIN-McMaster Equity extension development

We are seeking your valuable feedback on how to improve the consideration of equity in guideline development by filling in an online survey which will take 20-25 minutes. This survey is part of an official methodological framework that will be employed in the development of the Canadian Guidelines on Post-COVID-19 Condition.

This work is led by Drs Holger Schünemann and Peter Tugwell and is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. Our goal is to develop guidance on considering equity the guideline development process which will help guideline developers make more equitable decisions. The proposed guidance is structured within the GIN-McMaster guideline development process, found here, which contains a comprehensive list of topics and items outlining the practical steps to consider for developing guidelines.

We would like feedback from international community on whether you agree with the proposed steps for considering equity in guideline development. The online survey can be found here (https://www.surveymonkey.ca/r/PSYTZKD).

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary. You are required to be the age of 18 or older. You have the right to decline participation or withdraw from the survey at any time without any negative consequences. Your decision regarding participation will not affect any present or future relationships with the researchers or affiliated organizations. You can withdraw from the survey by not submitting but once you submit, this will not be possible due to anonymous nature.

We welcome your participation in this 20-25 minute-long survey. Your participation will support an evidence and consensus-driven process to develop the equity extension to the GIN-McMaster checklist.

Should you have any questions or concerns please contact Dr. Holger Schünemann or Omar Dewidar.
