In the spotlight: Patient Reported Outcomes Methods Group

Posted on 12 November 2021 by Ella Flemyng (Methods Implementation Manager)

We are celebrating the achievements of Cochrane’s Methods Groups from the last year. Today we are putting Patient Reported Outcomes Methods Group in the spotlight.

The Patient Reported Outcomes Methods Group focuses on self-reported outcomes by RCT participants. These outcomes may include health status, quality of life, adherence to treatment recommendations and satisfaction with treatment. The Group advises Cochrane reviewers on when and how to incorporate PROs into systematic review and aims to refine methods of literature search on PRO studies and develop methods for systematically reviewing PRO studies.
