The aim of the Cochrane Methods Support Unit (MSU) is to improve the consistency and methodological quality of Cochrane Reviews through support, peer review and training, and to support implementation of new methods in Cochrane Reviews.
The MSU will work collaboratively with Cochrane Review Group (CRG) Networks by providing advice and support on request from Associate Editors, Network Support Fellows or Network Senior Editors, and in response to queries escalated from the Community Support Team, Copy Edit Support or from the Editor in Chief directly.
The MSU consists of an experienced statistician, an epidemiologist and a general methodologist. They will provide methodological advice, peer review, support or escalate the issue to the appropriate Cochrane Methods Group.
If you require input from the MSU, please see the separate pages on the process for managing requests for support from MSU and details on the information required by the MSU.
