Conducting methodological research

a. To maintain a research agenda dictated by issues important to the present and future functioning of Cochrane, and to encourage research that tackles the agenda.

There are many areas where further methodological and empirical research are needed. Some of these topics overlap the remit of other methods groups, especially those devoted to Individual Patient Data Meta-analysis, Screening and Diagnostic Tests, Reporting bias, Non-Randomised Studies, Comparing multiple interventions and Prospective meta-analysis.
