The Qualitative and Implementation Methods Group are launching a brand-new Learning Live webinar series on 28 October 2021 with an introduction to qualitative research and qualitative evidence synthesis. Monthly webinars will then run until May 2022, covering areas such as question formulation and searching for qualitative evidence, selecting studies and assessing methodological limitations and assessing the certainty of the evidence. Open to all and free to attend!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Cochrane Bias Methods Group meeting will be a virtual meeting. We have planned two meetings to accommodate different time zones. The two meetings will have somewhat different programs, but material from the meetings will be made available at the Bias Methods Group website.

The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Complex Reviews Support Unit (CRSU) will be holding a training webinar with Cochrane’s Public Health and Health Systems Network.

Cochrane's Methods Support Unit will lead a special web clinic on 11 November 2021 focussing on the practicalities of implementation faced by staff and editors and how issues relating to complexity, non-randomised studies of interventions and synthesis without meta-analysis can be tackled in different topic areas. The sessions will be run at two times to accommodate attendees in different time zones and will be structured around interactive, themed break-out sessions.
